What: Mini video review and demo of the Spin Master Air Hogs RC Micro Hovercraft. This is the US version of the Tomy Hover-Q. Available at Toys R Us and Target stores for $29.99. Comments: I’m giving this a 2 out of 5 rating. It’s fun for a short while, literally. The 40 minute charge time and around 2 minute running time is a bit of a turn off. 2 minutes isn’t much time to enjoy it, and 40 minutes is just too long to wait. It only really runs well on super smooth, flat surfaces. It can go pretty fast, but doesn’t steer very well and hard to get it go straight, even after adjusting the steering trim. It’s a neat little gimmick though, a micro hovercraft. But, that it’s limited to its terrain and runs for just a couple minutes, it’s only fun for so long.

Actually, some of the Tomy RC’s feature a cellphone connection system that lets you control the vehicle via your cellphone. Originals are always better imo.

Lol, hilarious review. Wanted to find a video review of this thing because my friend bought it the other night for 19 bucks. We thought we had charged it incorrectly because it was the biggest letdown ever…it can’t even run down better than a 50% ratio of pedestrians C’MON!!

Haha thanks! And yeah, the extremely short battery life is pretty ridiculous. 1-2 minutes run time is really not worth waiting 40 minutes to charge for. They should really make a version 2 with a better battery.

It’s not in the RC, it’s a program/app you can get for your cell phone. So, it has nothing to do with the difference of the Japanese and US version of the RC itself. They probably haven’t marketed the app domestically ’cause it wouldn’t be as popular since these are considered just kid’s toys here.

hey umm,the batteries in my controller are old,but its lasting longer.the charge is 25 minutes long,and play time is 4 minutes long.the batteries are a little below alright performance.its weird but cool.try it

@blueranger4567: Aside from the fact that these can’t be compared, this is a hovercraft and the Sharpshooter is a heli, I do think the Sharpshooter is cool and I want to try it out.
(For those that don’t know what the Sharpshooter is, it’s an Air Hogs RC helicopter that has a missile firing feature.)
